Teaching Science with Animations

Teaching science lessons with animations can have a big impact on a teacher's effectiveness.
Students of this generation enjoy computer games more than classroom discussions. Many students will even cut from his classes to play DoTA, Tertris Battle or Point Blank. This has become on of the biggest problem in our school today.

If you cannot defeat them, JOIN THEM. Computer games is a lot more enjoyable than lectures. They will make give students fun and at the same time make them learn. So why don't we adapt these new technology into your teaching?

Probably, the reasons are the following:

1. The school has no computer or LCD projector, or both
2. The teachers are not trained in using these new technologies

Feel free to add more reasons by leaving your comments below.

If your problem is the lack of resources, there are two solutions to that. First, seek support from your local politicians - the mayor maybe and businessmen. Another is to make it a PTA project. The school where I teach got its first projector as a PTA project. It took 2 years for the money to be enough to buy the LCD projector but it was worth it.

The second reason is the lack of training. Don't get me wrong, please. I do not mean that you don't know how to use a computer. I mean that the power of the technology in our hands is much more than powerpoint presentations. Make your lessons game-like!

Take a look at this animation to see what I mean.
